ENGAGED | Steph at babblingbride.com

Check out this sweet post from my gorgeous 2012 bride, Steph, of babblingbride.com.  In her post, Steph makes a couple of important points regarding bridal make-up and finding the make-up artist (or any other wedding vendor) of your choice:

i).  find a make-up artist that you click with!  You should feel comfortable with the person that you choose, be able to voice your preferences without worry and work collaboratively with that artist towards a look that’s your best ‘you’.

ii). choose a look that you feel comfortable in – I like to call that look ‘enhanced’ – which is essentially you, but just tweaked for the camera and maybe with some false lashes added on!  Steph is a natural beauty and wears minimal to zero make-up day to day, so we kept true to a natural look that was in tune with her day-to-day routine.

Now of course, if your day-to-day routine is a little more hard-core (ahem, me), then a stronger make-up look would be needed to (make myself) feel ‘natural’ and ‘presentable’.  In that case, still go for a more intense look (within reason) of course…and when in doubt, turn to your trusted professional for advice.  In other words, collaborate!  The best results always come from working together!

Thanks Steph for the awesome post!!  Can’t wait to see you again :)

Welcome to my journal and journey as a make-up and hair artist with all the beautiful people and products I encounter along the way.
