WEDDING | Xiaoxi

I did a post with Xiaoxi’s professional pics (by awesome photographer Geehae Jeong – who by the way makes the rest of us look like slackers!), but here are more detailed pics of the before and after enhancements! ;)

Looking at these pics, I love and cannot stress enough the importance of a good pair of brows!!  If you have questions about getting (or faking) good brows, see this post here or of course, feel free to contact/see me.  I have 1.5 eyebrows due to an over-tweezing incident in grade 6 that my shocked brows never recovered from.  True story.  Unfortunately.

Anyway, I digress….back to Xiaoxi + her ladies! :)

Welcome to my journal and journey as a make-up and hair artist with all the beautiful people and products I encounter along the way.

Hi! What do you use to fill in brows for asians? Thanks!

hi Kel! I usually use MAC’s Brows in Stud and then use a natural-bristle angled brush with a matte dark brown shadow (usually in either concrete/brun). For more mature Asian skin, I usually skip the pencil and just fill in using the angled brush with shadow.

    Great question! :)

love the eye look; what shadows did you use? wondering if it isn’t mac’s mulch? also, did you do lash enhancements? if so, what kind; are they strips, extensions, etc. just curious-looks lovely. i’m glad to see a bride who isn’t scared of a little smokey color for the big day.

hmmm…i think it was actually a L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow (forgot the colour) mixed with a Laura Mercier cream eyeshadow…and then MAC’s Handwritten in the crease! Xiaoxi had semi-permanent lashes done – so gorgeous, right?? I want!!

Thanks for the comment! Xiaoxi has such great features – she could really pull anything off!
