PRODUCT REVIEW | Smashbox’s Eye Beam – A Morning Make-up Must-Have on thekit.ca
I’m all about easy-to-use products that are multi-duty, especially in the morning when the minutes are minimal (apparently, I’m also all about alliteration lol!). Anyway, I digress! Check out my latest blog post on The Kit for a Morning Make-up Must-Have that’s also a must-read! :)

Check it out here:

PRODUCT REVIEW | Get to Know Joe Fresh Beauty
Awww Joe Fresh! I’ve blogged a few times about my love for this great Canadian brand. Joe Fresh is all about making beauty easy + accessible. We’re talking great value at an affordable pricepoint, easy-to-work with formulas and colours that are on trend! Pretty great, no? Or, eh?! Well, it gets even better as you can find Joe Fresh beauty + clothing items at your local Loblaws (yes, buying actual food with the ‘grocery’ allowance is significantly hampered when I go grocery shopping where Joe Fresh products are sold!).
While working with the Diet Coke Beauty Boost team, I was fortunate to try a full bag of goodies from Joe Fresh and get even more exposure to this amazing brand. Here’s the lowdown of my faves from Joe Fresh Beauty…just in time for Canada Day!

PRODUCT REVIEW | Schwarzkopf’s BC Hairtherapy + Contest Alert!

Schwarzkopf has long been known (we’re talking 100+ years!) as a trusted go-to brand for salon professionals for their quality products for hair care, colouring and styling.
I’ll admit that I mainly buy brands available at the drugstore when it comes to hair care and styling for myself and only quality salon products for my kit (hey, my money gets spent on make-up! Guilty as charged.)….so when I had the chance to test run a few products from Schwarzkopf’s BC Hairtherapy hair care line, I jumped at the opportunity to treat my over-processed and over-heated hair (and my locks rejoiced in agreement!).
Schwarzkopf’s BC Hairtherapy line offers an extensive range of hair care products specifically tailored to your hair’s needs – my ‘needs’ tend to be adding moisture back to my dry and lacklustre locks (likely due to a serious dependency on heat-styling tools).
I have become a huge fan of the BC Hairtherapy Moisture Kick line of products (for normal to dry hair) over the past couple of months I’ve been using it. Bonacure’s Moisture Kick has restored a healthy and soft feeling to my hair, making it much easier to manage with minimal detangling. Moisture Kick has also revived a noticeable shine to my hair, which I didn’t realize it was seriously lacking until it came back (I blame heat-styling yes, but also the past season’s dry winter weather doing a number on my hair)! I am particularly addicted to the Moisture Kick Re-charger leave-in conditioner, as I’m clearly going through that product twice as fast as I’m going through the Moisture Kick Shampoo and Conditioner. The light citrus smell is pleasant too – just smells fresh and clean (always important!).
Here’s the science behind the active ingredients according to the Schwarzkopf website:
HYALURONIC ACID DERIVATIVE: a vital ingredient commonly used in body moisturisers. Its molecule is able to balance the water content. Its outstanding hydrating properties result in increased smoothing, softening and combating dryness.
PANTHENOL: penetrates the hair shaft to inject hydration and balances the natural moisture level.
AMINO CELL REBUILD TECHNOLOGY: penetrates deeply into the hair to repair the inner cell structure.

Ok, so you want great hair too?!
The team at Schwarzkopf and Karen Cleveland PR are offering one lucky artistrhi reader a HUGE Schwarzkopf BC Hairtherapy Prize Package. Did I mention HUGE? We’re talking a retail value of $350. The BC Hairtherapy Prize Package includes:
