BEAUTY SHOT | Allison
Meet the lovely Allison, one of my gorgeous brides for 2011! We focused on a subtle smoky look for Allison’s Big Day to highlight her enchanting blue eyes.
To achieve this look on your own, try out these products:
MAC’s Bare Canvas Paint – to neutralize the colour of Allison’s eyelid and act as a base for eyeshadow application
MAC eyeshadows
- Bisque: I applied this medium shade all over the lid up to the browbone to add slight depth.
- White Frost + Phloof: I love these two eyeshadow shades for highlighting. I wanted something brighter than Phloof (an off-white) but not as bright as White Frost (a frosty white) on its own…so I swirled my brush between both shades to get the perfect balance. Highlighting done right is key…and the key is subtlety! Many brides do not want to see a harsh white highlight on their browbone when they look at their wedding photos! Yep, dated!
- Handwritten: blended in the outer V of the eyelid to add depth and contrast Allison’s gorgeous eyes

WEDDING | artistrhi.com (long overdue) update!
It’s been the longest while since my last blog post…and what better way to get back into it than a pic update of an amazingly busy wedding season (that continues straight through to the end of November…wowza!)
Here are some pics of the brides I was truly fortunate to work with…see more with them on artistrhi weddings!
Wedding planning is never straightforward, but Vinci’s path leading towards the Big Day was one challenged by a serious illness. From the time she informed me of what she was going through (which would make many others consider postponing their wedding), I got the sense that I was working with a very strong woman with such a beautiful spirit. I had a very small part in the Big Day, but I’m sure I can attest for everyone when I say that Vinci’s Big Day was just that much more meaningful. Thankfully, Vinci is well on the path to recovery with the support of a loving husband and family…and of course with the self-support of the strong foundation that she is. Vinci is a stunning bride and a just a wonderful person, emanating beauty from the inside out. Sometimes you never realize how working with people will touch your life….Vinci is an inspiration to say the least and I am thankful for having the opportunity to work with her. Love love.

WEDDING | Fanny by artistrhi
I had such a great time with Fanny, as we got her, her sisters and her mom prepped for Fanny’s Big Day!! We did a timeless bridal look, focusing on naturally enhancing her features by evening out the skin tone and adding pops of pink for that bridal glow. The result on camera is clean and natural…and one you won’t regret looking at your wedding pics 25 years later :) :)
Speaking of being a family affair, Fanny found me through my Mom as they work together…ya gotta love it when even your Mom pimps your stuff out to her friends!! :) Love it. But really I don’t know where I’d be without the amazing support my family and friends spoil me with. Thank you…
