PRODUCT REVIEW | Schwarzkopf’s BC Hairtherapy + Contest Alert!

Schwarzkopf has long been known (we’re talking 100+ years!) as a trusted go-to brand for salon professionals for their quality products for hair care, colouring and styling.

I’ll admit that I mainly buy brands available at the drugstore when it comes to hair care and styling for myself and only quality salon products for my kit (hey, my money gets spent on make-up! Guilty as charged.)….so when I had the chance to test run a few products from Schwarzkopf’s BC Hairtherapy hair care line, I jumped at the opportunity to treat my over-processed and over-heated hair (and my locks rejoiced in agreement!).

Schwarzkopf’s BC Hairtherapy line offers an extensive range of hair care products specifically tailored to your hair’s needs – my ‘needs’ tend to be adding moisture back to my dry and lacklustre locks (likely due to a serious dependency on heat-styling tools).

I have become a huge fan of the BC Hairtherapy Moisture Kick line of products (for normal to dry hair) over the past couple of months I’ve been using it.  Bonacure’s Moisture Kick has restored a healthy and soft feeling to my hair, making it much easier to manage with minimal detangling.  Moisture Kick has also revived a noticeable shine to my hair, which I didn’t realize it was seriously lacking until it came back (I blame heat-styling yes, but also the past season’s dry winter weather doing a number on my hair)!  I am particularly addicted to the Moisture Kick Re-charger leave-in conditioner, as I’m clearly going through that product twice as fast as I’m going through the Moisture Kick Shampoo and Conditioner. The light citrus smell is pleasant too – just smells fresh and clean (always important!).

Here’s the science behind the active ingredients according to the Schwarzkopf website:
HYALURONIC ACID DERIVATIVE: a vital ingredient commonly used in body moisturisers. Its molecule is able to balance the water content. Its outstanding hydrating properties result in increased smoothing, softening and combating dryness.

PANTHENOL: penetrates the hair shaft to inject hydration and balances the natural moisture level.

AMINO CELL REBUILD TECHNOLOGY: penetrates deeply into the hair to repair the inner cell structure.

Ok, so you want great hair too?!

Hey great giveaway! Please enter me.

My dream hair would be long with big loose curls. My hair is pretty curly and while I’m at peace with it most of the time, it definitely has a life of it’s own and can be a pain to style!

  • I completely understand! My hair has a mind of its own…hence the excessive heat-styling! Thanks for your entry, Elaine! :)

My dream hair would be voluminous, bouncy and shiny. Also, my bangs would swoop perfectly to one side.

My current hair is nowhere near my dream hair. *sadface*

I’m a big fan of Schwarzkopf (I’ve tried a shampoo and styling products from the salon I used to go to), so thanks for this giveaway!

My dream hair is iron straight hair that could sport a short sexy bob! Current hair condition: super thick hair that must be medium or long length because if cut short, it’d puff up like a lamp shade… :(

OMG! My hair is a comeplete mess from years of straightening! My dream hair would be long flowly hair, down to my bum, with no split ends or colour from previous self colouring disasters.

Wow…You must have that stuff in one big basket ;) My hair is wavy: sometimes nice waves, sometimes dead waves. I straighten my hair 1-3 times a week cuz it can be pretty unpredictable. I would LOVE my hair to have consistentantly nice waves!…but that still wouldn’t stop me from straightening it lol

  • your hair always looks PERFECT in your photos/blog posts!

  • super thick is a good thing!! believe me, you’ll be thankful in years to come. like many, many years to come :)

  • i can totally see you with hair down to you bum! goddess!

  • your naturally wavy hair is gorgeous! i think you should wear it wavy more often!!

my hair is usually one giant poof ball that i have a love hate relationship with. my dream hair would be healthy, long, shiny and sleek hair that i can style easily in the morning!

*sigh* a basket of free hair goodies would be awesome right about now :)

I would have to say my dream hair would have to be versatile. I love to have my hair straight one day, curly the next. I love lots of volume and shine. But that can be difficult to do when you don’t have the right products. Its usually one or the other. Luckily I have a great hair dresser who can change up my style for me when I feel I need a change. All I need some BC hairtherapy Products to make it work!

  • i love your hair, P! so tiiiick!! believe me, we’ll be thankful further along in the years :)

  • same! i love changing it up – hence my dependency on heat styling! BC hairtherapy has definitely helped my hair keep a healthy, normal state even with all my heat abuse! :)

I would say my perfect hair award would have to go to JLO.. serious does she EVER have a bad hair day??

I have long hair but its def not as soft or healthy as it should be so id love the chance to give it some life without chopping it all off!

    Great giveaway!

My dream hair would be thick, voluminous, and air dry perfectly. Right now my hair is limp, oily roots, dry ends, and it air dries flat and a hybrid between wavy and straight. So I always have to wash it and style it in the morning. Booourns!!

I love Schwarzkopf’s Essensity shampoo and Osis+ styling products!!

Thanks Rhia for doing this contest for your readers :)

    Hi Rhia,
Current hair is the same layered straight (from a straight perm) coloured hairstyle for the last who knows how many years!!!

If I could ONLY wake up with nice beachy hair … soft curls with volume at the roots .. Since my hair is sooo heavy and thick, as you know, I need some oomph at the roots.

Sooo, can we make this happen? :)

My dream hair would be more voluminous and a little more thicker (my hair is currently super thin and difficult to work with). My favourite celeb hair would probably be Victoria Beckham. I love short hair and it just seems so versatile.
