GET THE LOOK: Recently, I mentioned Maybelline’s Colour Tattoo cream shadows as being a handy quickie make-up item for an easy evening look (see blog post on The Kit here)…but they’re also handy on set, like for this shoot with Sam Assam and Danielle (Elmer Olsen). For this shoot, I used Maybelline’s Colour Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze (1st pic) and Audacious Asphalt (3rd pic), and layered an eyeshadow in a matching colour overtop. The layering of powder shadow atop the cream shadow makes the colour appear more opaque (important for on camera!) AND lasts longer under the heat of studio lights. I know summer is all about lightening up on the make-up, but this quick step of layering your shadows instantly increases the longevity of the cream shadow’s wear….and I definitely don’t mind an extra step if it spares me from worrying about creasing later in the day! Hey, I’m a heavy-handed girl at heart, k?! Try it!!
