UPDATES | Lend Your Love with Memory Box Events on Valentine’s Day 2014

Now that I’m freelancing full-time, I’ve been meaning to get back into volunteering.  It just feels sooo good to give back, especially since I’ve been showered with so many blessings in my personal life and in being able to do what I love as a career.

I always love seeing friends going above and beyond to do their part to give back and host charity events.  I definitely know the work and heart that goes into organizing an event like that, after working with the incredible team behind 2010’s Hope for Haiti event.

Friends over at Memory Box Events, an event planning service in Toronto and the GTA, are hosting a spectacular charity event in support of Because I Am a Girl.  If you’re looking for a beautiful way to spend your Valentine’s Day (and spread love!), be sure to check out their LEND YOUR LOVE gala .  The gala takes place on February 14th at the Markham Museum and includes a four-course dinner, entertainment and raffle prizes valued at over $2000.

I’m very excited to be a sponsor of the event too (baby steps on the way back to volunteering for now!) adding a Full Make-up artistrhi Application with Airbrush (value of $160) to the many raffle prizes up for grabs.

From Memory Box Events:
Lend Your Love is an annual charity gala that takes place on Valentine’s Day. It aims to educate and inspire the community to become active participants in making a change. Together we can understand the issues and focus on being a part of the solution.

Lend Your Love 2014 will be benefiting Plan Canada’s, Because I am a Girl, a charity with the initiative to end gender inequality, promote girls’ rights and lift millions of girls worldwide.

So join us for a formal gala with a four course dinner and raffle prizes and dance the night away as you help raise funds to provide literacy training for 100 women in the third world.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to charity.

Location: 9350 Markham Road, Markham ON L3P 3J3

One of the ladies behind Memory Box Events, Namika, is a past artistrhi bride … and I can testify that this lady knows her stuff, seeing first-hand how beautiful and well-organized her wedding events in Toronto and Punta Cana were!  I love seeing past brides connecting to doing what they love and starting their own ventures.  Go Namika!!
